About Heather

Having realised that wine was much more fun than travel technology, Heather successfully passed the WSET Diploma in Wine & Spirits in 2005.

Since then she has developed a passion for sparkling wine and Champagne, passing the Wine Scholar Guild Champagne Master Level qualification with Highest Honours and becoming UK Champagne Ambassador in 2018. She has also become an Advanced Level Cava Educator and has visited the beautiful vineyards of Prosecco Superiore DOCG and Franciacorta in Italy.

Continuing the Spanish theme, she is a certified Rioja Educator and is developing her knowledge of and enthusiasm for the wines of northern Spain. 

French wines remain her first love and she is a certified Rhône Educator, as well as having a keen interest in the wines of the Loire Valley, Languedoc and Roussillon. 

Heather is a past Chair of the Association of Wine Educators and a member of the Circle of Wine Writers.

She regularly presents to wine clubs and societies, and works on behalf of various trade clients presenting at consumer and wine trade events. Please get in touch if you think Heather can help you with an event that you are planning.
